William Randall, PhD, MSN, RN,CEN

Dr. Randall is a distinguished emergency nursing expert and academic with over four decades of bedside nursing, including critical care, education, and research. He earned a Ph.D. in Nursing Science and Healthcare Leadership from UC Davis, where his acclaimed dissertation explored ICU nurses' perceptions of risk and clinical autonomy, earning recognition for its significant contribution to nursing science. Dr. Randall has excelled as an educator, serving as Associate and Assistant Professor at prominent institutions in California where he has trained and mentored countless future nursing professionals. In his many years at the bedside, Dr. Randall has demonstrated exceptional expertise in critical care nursing, including trauma, flight nursing, and pediatrics, as well as leadership roles focused on patient safety and quality improvement. He continues to practice as a bedside emergency nurse. Dr. Randall is recognized as a content expert in medical-surgical nursing by the California Board of Registered Nursing. Additionally, he has contributed extensively to the field of nursing through health policy initiatives, peer-reviewed emergency nursing publications, and impactful research. His dedication to advancing the profession is evident in his roles as a mentor, conference presenter, and community health volunteer.
